Ambassador Zubairu Dada (CON, FNIM, FNIPR) is a distinguished Nigerian diplomat with over four decades of experience in Public Service and Diplomacy. He holds a B.A. in English/French and a Graduate Certification in Education from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as well as an M.A. in Law and Diplomacy from the University of Jos.
Ambassador Dada’s career is marked by significant contributions at both National and International levels. He began his professional journey with the National Youth Service Corps in Lagos State and later served as the Pioneer Hansard Editor for the Niger State Legislature. His roles included Information Officer in Sokoto, Permanent Secretary, Director of MAMSER, and Director of the National Orientation Agency.
Ambassador Dada has represented Nigeria on the global stage as Ambassador to the Republic of Poland (1999-2003) and High Commissioner to the Republic of Mozambique, with concurrent accreditation to Madagascar and Mauritius (2004-2007). He also served as the Federal Commissioner at the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation, and Fiscal Commission in Abuja (2011-2016) and was appointed Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (2019-2023).
In addition to his professional roles, Ambassador Dada has held numerous positions, including Chairman of the Niger State Merit Award Committee and Member of the Economic and Social Advisory Council of Niger State. His exemplary service has been recognized with several awards, including a National Honour as Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).
Ambassador Dada is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (FNIPR). He holds the traditional title of Makun Paiko. He is Married with children, he enjoys football, walking, lawn tennis, and golf.
